Abstract

In this paper, a new generalization of the Gompertz distribution is introduced. The mentioned distribution is widely used in fields such as reliability and fitting on various data sciences, including computers, marketing, biology and insurance. This new family of distribution contains of the exponentiated generalized Gompertz distribution and Gompertz distribution as sub-models. Some properties of this new distribution, such as moments, quantile function, survival function, hazard rate function, reliability and order statistics are studied. The exact form of the density function of this distribution is obtained. In addition, the new distribution parameters are estimated using several methods and these methods are compared by using the Monte Carlo simulation. Finally, model performance are illustrated to exhabit its advantageous.
