Comparison of two independent discrete distributions is common in scientific studies, including drug testing and stress-strength reliability. This work introduces a sequential sampling scheme and develops some relevant reliability measures based on it, where the independent stress and strength responses are discrete. Unbiased estimators of these measures, along with estimated variances, are obtained. An extensive simulation study is conducted to assess the relative performance of the proposed estimators. A real-life data set is used for illustration.
